FOUNTAIN PEN DESIGN
During my late days of Highschool, I was introduced to 3D printing. I thought it would be a fun project to try to create a pen purely based of 3D printing and see how viable this way of production is. Though unfortunately, after many attempts, the printer that I had access to was not accurate enough to create a small detailed item such as a pen.
The ink from the ink canister would leak through the nib and the plastic casing would also have small leakages as each layer wasn't perfectly welded together and had minor gaps. Though in the end, the project taught me a lot about the projection of the new technology such as 3D printing at home.
